After finding out my horse is blind in one eye, probably only really 15.2 (not 16hh) and needs to be reschooled, we had the dentist out yesterday who said that he's probably nearer 8 than 10.

Woooohhhhoooooo - some positive news.

I was expecting him to say, sorry, but your horse is more near 18. Not that there's anything wrong with 18 year old horses but it would just be so fitting!

I won't bore you with it but we've definately had an interesting journey in the couple of months that I've owned him - he's a great character but found out he is blind in right eye - after a vetting!

Perhaps it's good that I found out now....not sure I would have brought an 8 year old TB as my first horse after 15 years! He was sold to me as a 12 year old.......

The vet did apparently but then that's not to say he hasn't got one if they didn't pick up he was BLIND!

He would have raced in Ireland though and apparently they brought it in later......I'm no expert though.
