Finally We Have Snow! MANY Pics!

After seeing the lovely snow everyone else has, we were very excited to wake up to several inches of snow this morning! Maya especially LOVES it and just goes wild! She has been playing in the snow all day and is finally sleeping it off on the sofa
Anyway, millions of pics!!

Firstly at my mums house, I took my 3 round to visit the rest of their family:

And then we went to visit the horses! Maya caught a pheasant in the woods behind the field... well, kinda!! Chased after a HUGE male pheasant and managed to grab his long tail feathers as he took off. She went several feet into the air before she thought better of the pheasant hunting idea lol. Silly girl!

Love this pic, not sure why, just looks very christmassy and is SO maya!!

Great pics, thanks for sharing them. Love all those dogs(all my favourite).I could almost smell that, back in the car aroma, that you get after a good long walk in the damp air.

Looks like they were loving that Maya is just such a beautiful dog My parents were looking into getting a Basenji a few years ago but were put off because so many people told them they are untrainable

Great pics!!
I've just taken my dog (collie) to the yard with me. We have lots of fields and a x country course. He has jumped ALL the fences, when it's snow he seems to go nuts!! His final round, after dark, was great, no jumping but the moon is huge and the snow was glistening. No nasty man and his unruly dog in our fields!!
Now feeling all christmasy, so off to decorate the tree!!
Dog isn't helping with that though!!

Basenji's arent untrainable, I know of a few who compete successfully at agility and obedience But they do require a very understanding owner, you soon learn when your basenji is not in the mood for training and just wants to play lol!
