I think you will struggle to find a 4 horse with living I would look at a tristar they make more basic ally stick sided bodys that have a good payload .. otherwise your into the quality big name builders and £60 k if you want fancy and light .. or a basic conversion on a box van but the converter needs to know what they are doing !!!

You will struggle to get a 7.5 ton lorry that will carry 3/4 horses & have living & be legal regarding weight.

Even if you get a Tristar, they are the traditional stick sided aluminium sided lorries, you will struggle. I have a Tristar 7.5 ton, I have fairly basic living, it sleeps 3, has gas hob, wall & base cupboards & it has an ulw of 5.5 tons. By the time you add up the tack you will carry, tank of fuel, water, feed, hay, driver & passengers you soon reduce your carrying capacity.

To carry 4 horses in a 7.5 ton lorry really it should just be stalled just for the 4 horses & possibly have a tack area. There would be no allonace for a living area.

Kevin Parker build their 'Helios' model & that is a 7.5 ton box with a 2.5 ton payload. That model will cost you more than your budget though. Equitrek also build the 'Endeavour' with a 2750kg payload, that again is over budget.

As you can see if you want fancy living in a lorry it will take up quite a bit of the payload. Also just because you see a lorry stalled for 3 or 4 horses does not mean it can legally carry them. ;)

I have a Tristar MAN 4 horse 7.5T
It is aluminium throughout, but just a changing area and a portaloo
It has a payload of 2.9T just.
If it was on a DAF chassis it may have sneaked in another .5T
I can carry 4 15.2s easily..but if they are Cob types i would be overweight.
I regularly carry 3 or 4 up to 14.2/15hh and it just stays under.
