I am in Lancashire & need a bit altered so the hanging cheeks don’t rub. The mouthpiece is fine. Any loriners out there?

Just today did I think of asking my farrier or the local metal work man ( but he charges a fortune, I used him to make a 10” metal hoop)

Have you got a friend with a vice? It's not that hard to bend a hanging cheek, from my own experience.

I just reread this. I meant a friend with the kind of vice you keep in a garage ?

I am lucky to have an anvil, and a vice. I also used to have a very handy OH, but am also pretty handy myself, so minor alterations are not hard to accomplish.

I read the first comment and did think that most of my friends have vices of some sort...

Wrap the bit in cloth before tightening the vice then ode a lever to bend or rest wood against it before hammering depending how it needs to bend.
