Well, I ve been let down again it would seem.
Had my youngster booked in for backing with a reputable trainer and now the guy cant do it - dont know why, but there it is so, - I am well scuppered ATM.
Please, has anyone got any suggestions/recommendations for a decent, qualified professional person, that actually rides the horse themselves (not the young girls on the yard ) ! is not charging more than about £150 pw, has a good track record as a competitor, has a decent up to date website showing references etc and possibly uses a combination of NH and conventional techniques with kindness not force!
Not much to ask really is it?

have you tried Sarah Jane Ross - she is Sutherland/Caithness based - I've ridden horses started by her and was impressed - I can get her phone number if you're interested in chatting to her

also Ernest Graham - a bit of a horse whisperer type but again, I've been impressed with his work. He's at Lossiemouth

Not commenting on anything other than I have seen his work over the last few years - not used him personally, but have never needed to, as I can back my own. Merely a suggestion that the horse work is good......

Regards the other suggestion - several friends of mine have had dealings with that yard and I could not recommend them - I can PM details :(
 
Oh dear. Like I said I have no idea what they are like. Only put that news link up in case you didn't know what had happened. We aren't doing too well are we??!!
