Hi all

Need your help
I recently lost my Barney of 14 years and I am lost without him

I have loads of love to give but against rehoming rules for most centres I do work and yes my new friend would be alone for 8 hrs

but I do need to work.

My situation may change soon as my dad will hopefully be moving next door...........................so I need a doggie either sex but prefer 1 to 10 years old and small'ish.........terrier type............open to suggestions

Said new friend would come to the yard every day and shows on days off, have warm home, food, cuddles and have ooodles of love

So where do I find such a friend and does anyone here know of one Surrey area looking for a new mummy?

Thank you

Why don't you be patient and wait until your dad moves next door then all the barriers will be taken away and you won't feel so guilty and the dog won't be left all day. Alternatively just look in your local papers, there are loads of older dogs (not puppies) needing new homes.

Hi, sorry to hear of your loss.Would you consider a retired greyhound by any chance?Sometimes they can go to homes where they will be alone in the day. It's much better for them than being in rescue! They are gorgeous dogs, very gentle, get on well with horses usually and would happily sleep all day when you are at work.If you are interested let me know, can PM you rescue contacts.Dogs are retired by 4 very often, so you can still have a young dog but without any of the puppy issues.

LMAO - Leah you are worse than me

I nearly suggested a greyhound but thought they were a bit too large compared to a terrier

I completely agree with all you say though - I get mine through www.grwe.com, and they have lots in at the moment
