Finding a Dressage Coach who does not fall asleep!

My Christmas present this year whats a series of lessons with a Dressage coach! Not cheap, but nice as he hates horses. Guess what half way through my lesson, I noticed the coach had fallen asleep! I know, I am just starting to get into Dressage but I cant be that bad. Guess what I still had to pay. Has anyone else had the same happen to them.

My driving instructor used to fall asleep after 5 mins so I used to drive for the rest of the hour on my own. He would wake up when I stopped the car back at home. I still passed first time! 30 years ago now though!

That is totally unacceptable! I would not have paid him, I would have left him sleeping and gone!

Find another dressage instructor, flatwork can be really rewarding (seriously, it can!) and a good trainer will help you enjoy it more.

My piano teacher used to fall asleep during lessons then wake herself up when she slipped onto the keys (no word of a lie!!)

Not so easy to get a riding instructor to wake up though!

No way! Certainly wouldn’t be my dressage coach for long. Mine could never fall asleep as he moves around the school as much as I do on Bodey!

It is things like this thats gives all types of trainers a bad name and makes it harder for the rest of us who do not fall asleep and do train people in the correct way.

Not a coach but a judge in a Riding horse class decided to watch the plane in the sky when he should have been watching the trot up so I left the class and got my money back!
Some people have no manners, you should tell him so!
