I've been browsing all the sites that I know of and can't even find anything to enquire about, let alone go and see. I even travelled 2 hours to go and see the only one I have found this afternoon though unfortunately he wasn't suitable.

Is it just due to the time of year or are less people choosing to loan due to so many horror stories

Didn't know you were looking becs, what do you want?? I know of a couple of people who are looking but on the QT.

16hh+, allrounder type though don't mind a few quirks/greeness. Just want to have some fun on a sensible'ish horse (which most things are in comparison to Forrest!!)

Definitely ask around for me and let me know if you hear of anything, I'm having no luck

If I get one on loan I'll only have one horse and I didn't get my WOW......

A lot changes over the space of a week and unfortunately that's not winning the lottery!

a friend of mine is looking for a horse to loan and she's finding it hard to find the right horse or something goes wrong.

although, she put a wanted ad on horsequest and she has had a lot of people contacting her offering horses on loan.. its just unfortunate that they dont work out.

My friend is looking for someone to loan her horse but I think that we are too far away from you. She is 15.3-16, 21 years old but trust me you would NEVER know it, she jumps, hacks, schools beautifully and does X country. She is a quirky little madam and has some go in her. She doesn't look her age and certainly doesn't behave like an old girl!!

There are so many dishonest people out there that horse owners are afraid to put their horses on loan.

I had my horse stolen whilst on loan.
I was one of the lucky ones, I found him.

I know a lot of people who are still looking for theirs after a year and still not found them.

Luckily mine that are out on loan are in fantastic homes with the loanee's constantly keeping me updated as to the highs and lows.....

There will be one out there somewhere!!!

OMG, how awful, so glad to hear you found him, hope he was safe and well. Just shocks me that some people can do such awful things

Ovidius - I really hope you're right! In the meantime, I'm just forking out £45 p/w for an empty stable!!

I'm in a similar boat, and I only want a companion!!

we're looking for a pony that can live out with my sisters horse. Stabled at night in the winter, good grazing or restricted when necessary, permanent 5* home.

preferably a gelding, but not compulsory. preferably able to go without shoes, but again not compulsory.

Owner welcome to vet home/us before and during loan.....
written agreement preferred.
why doesn't anyone want to take us up on this?

Mine all happen to be members of this forum and quite respectable ones at that! Then again I guess it helps that we've all met before face to face and know each other through the forum!

Because they are the word that were used by the person/s doing one of the biggest scams round here last year, it is all still being investigated now and A FREIND was one of the people affected by it.
They advertised on here and h-mart for a companion and that it would stay with there pony.
