Finding a horse with a tiny budget?

Im of the thinks it possible camp too. Agree about the ex racers I know of a lady rehomes them and she has some lovely horses, they are tbs but they arent all nuts

I would say loan but in all honesty theres not much out there it seems at the minute, people are scared because of horror stories and are keeping horses on their yards etc. I'm looking for something at the minute and its not easy, so resigning myself to going back paying for lessons

I would say keep looking, you might have to travel a bit further, go for something older etc but they are out there, just keep looking. Ive noticed an awful lot of cheap older horses on FB, of course could be something wrong with them but also they may be just what your looking for :)
 
I saved up for ages for my new horse and when I got what I thought was a reasonable amount (£2200) I went out searching, I travelled miles looking at different types breeds etc. All I wanted was a safe hack was not bothered about colour, breed, sex, most I looked at were not what I was looking for. Then in my local paper I saw a 15hh coloured cob mare who sounded ok, went out tried her and bought her for £600. I never needed to save up after all, and the owner turned out to only live up the road from me.
So they are out there but it may take a while for you to find him/her, good luck.
