Well thought I would post on here before putting out adverts, as not sure whether anyone would genuinely be interested so wondered if you could give me your opinions.

I have two lovely polo pony mares, 14'3hh and extremely well behaved. One stronger than the other, both bombproof in other respects. Wonderful yard, lovely hacking on the forest, quiet country lanes to get to. Large indoor arena up the road to rent for cheap.

I am starting a new job tomorrow and wondered whether I would be able to find a sharer, who could ride say twice a week, weekdays only. Riding with my mother? The reason I am not sure whether to look is because they are unfit at the moment, so can only be walked for the next 2-3 weeks, then trot for 2-3 weeks and finally canter work. But I would be happy for it to be a long term arrangement and the horses would then be fit for summer/winter etc etc.

My mum is happy to ride and lead but I feel like I have two ponies and so many people would love to ride that maybe I should advertise? I also feel it would be nice for her to have someone to ride with?

I am happy to pay someone to ride if I could not find a sharer, but also thought sharing might offer more to my ponies and a horseless rider?

What are your thoughts?

Am I asking the impossible as I would want good riders? Also if I were to post an advert how would/should I word it?

Advice/suggestions much appreciated.

I think a lot of people would jump at the chance!

Maybe target mothers whose kids are at school, as they'll be free during the day of weekdays and possibly more your mothers age so will enjoy the company and a good chat!

Not everyone wants to gallop about. Good luck :)

I'm sure you will find people interested, you should advertise on Hampshire hooves, its a Facebook group but has lots of members! Good luck finding someone! :-)
