Recently I bought a companion pony to keep my tb's company when the other goes out doing things and she's a cracker. She's about 12.2/13 hands and 9 years old. We don't know much about her past other than that she's had a foal but the more I do with her it's becoming clear that she's done a bit previously.

She lunges beautifully, was fine with my tb's far too big saddle on and leads out on the roads no problem. Today I did a few poles and then jumps on the lunge with her and she was so bold and honest. I really enjoy doing stuff with her and it's got me thinking that I'd love to find a small person to come and have fun with her, maybe go to some shows.......

I've got a small, very lightweight friend who is going to come and sit on her for me soon but if that goes well I plan to start the search.

Just wondering where would be best to advertise, how to word it etc because as good as she is she can be a bit nervous. Do you think there is much call for kids wanting ponies to ride that they don't own? I know I'd have loved it at that age but it just seems a completely different world out there now with overprotective parents and all the health and safety malarky.

Any thoughts would be greatly aprreciated

Thought I'd add a picture of the little lady

Shes lovely. Id try advertising in local tack shops that you are needing a rider for her then you will find someone local. Also on websites like NFED but thats only for the south/new forest areas really. Good luck trying to find a rider for her she looks very kind

My god, I wish I was a kid again, looks very like my 2nd pony Wizard, I'd love to ride her, sadly at 5"4 and 10 stone, I think I'd break her!

Damn you all!!
I have the little jockey....but am so far away from everyone who needs a little jockey. Bubs has decided that she has mourned Ted for long enough but I'm not sure she is fully commited so I don't want to rush out and get her a pony!

Try PC web site and tack shops.
