How would i go about finding out information on my elderly horses past history. I have had him for 7 years, he is freeze branded but he is on loan. I have not seen his owner for 7 years but when i got him she told me that he had competed in the hickstead derby and showed me photos! Im just curious to see if its true. He was a very good jumper till i retired him. Any ideas?

He was originally a trotter, then a showjumper. His passported name is Rothwells Major Bright bay, 15.3hh, TB x CB. He would jump anything before i retired him. I never really competed him which is a shame (because of his age). Basically his owner lied about his age and when i had the horse dentist i found out his true age which was 26 not 16! His owner siad this wasnt true and offered him for sale to me. I said no and havent heared off her since. This was 7 years ago and i would never part with him he is such a sweet old man who deserves a nice ending to his long life. im just curious.

Just call the BSJA and ask for his winnings / record... I would think that it COULD be a lie though and she told such a whopper about his age, but then if you've seen pics, it must be true?? Let us know what you manage to dig up!!

xx
