Finding people to ride? (Shropshire)

Just wondering if anyone has ever advertised for people to help them exercise horses for free? As i'm going on school exchange over the summer for 6 weeks i'd really like some help keeping my 15.3hh fit but not sure where to advertise?

Any suggestions welcome!:D
 
That might be an idea! Do you know of any? And i'm in a village near Shifnal(near ish to Telford) so we have fantastic quiet hacking with bridlepaths etc
 
Ah my horse is in Shifnal! Which village are you? There's the riding club websites; wrekin north riding club, telford riding club then there's telford horse sales, telford\shropshire horse sales can't think of the others! Just beware joy riding kids who are constantly on those groups looking for 'loan ponies' .... Most of their parents don't even know they're asking! X
 
I'm in Kemberton!:D and thanks! I'll have a looksie, but yes joy-riders are one of the things i'm a bit wary of:rolleyes:
 
Oh wow I'm opposite the wyke :) are you anywhere near the hem farm or are you the other side of the village? How exciting lol :)
 
If I were a better rider I'd volunteer to help you out but I doubt you'd want me wobbling around atop your horse lol good luck with the search :P
 
Nope i'm fairly near it! (riding wise just over the back field but driving wise you have to go into actual Kemberton)and possibly, what sort rider are you?:D
 
Oh wow we should meet up for a ride at some point! I ride out with a friend who stables at the hem and one who stables and paul & belinda's yard (where they make the showjumps) all the time! How strange finding someone so close :)

I'm 7th place at the wyke's walk & trot dressage test and 3rd at Wrekin North's dressage at best, and a nervy cry baby at worst lol. :o
