Hi,
Firstly, I'm new here after lurking for a while..so hi to all and a bit about myself. I am currently studying medicine in St Andrews, so having a break from owning horses and desperately missing the term time riding. I have been riding since I was tiny and have been lucky enough to always own my own so this is a bit strange.. I've done a bit of everything but I particularly love dressage.

Now, my question. I know people have probably already asked this but are there people looking to have their horses schooled for them, once or twice a week, and if so how do I find them. I have looked at a few sites but can't find any adverts for this area...they seem to be everywhere else but locally!

Thank you to anyone who has managed to get this far, sorry if it's an overdone topic.

Facebook is the best place. Find horsey groups for your area. I posted there on Friday and had 7 replies, I met horses on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A lot of people have horses they don't have time for, you just have to find them.

There are a few facebook pages which may be useful

This one often has adverts - there was someone looking for a rider for a couple of tbs recently but I can't find the post now - was in Errol so maybe a bit far! Definitely worth posting there, and on the free ad sites like gumtree/preloved.

You could also contact the Lohoars to see if they know of anyone

or Kinshaldy

It is a fairly horsey area so I'm sure you'll find something :)

EquineAdverts is your best place, post that you are looking for a ride. I did and I've had a lot of responses in less then a week.

Yep, put an advert up there earlier so fingers crossed someone will get back to me :)

And I will check out the FB pages and put an advert there, great suggestion thanks guys :)

As "cookey" as it as well preloved is pretty good, I got about 4 replies with two days to my ad, but unfortunatly none of them were successful. But EquineAdverts has given me the best result so far.

:o Good Luck, i know what it feels like without horses.
