I am 5"9 and quite leggy and weight 9st, my welshie is 11.2hh and very LW. I think i maybe a bit big for sitting on her and my 5yr old is too little and cannot ride plus i don't really want to risk it.
So i am looking for ideas......what would you say the max weight would be for her to carry? obv this would not be for long periods of time, just the first few times in walk and trot and maybe round the block once or twice per week.
I know of someones sister who is quite petite i think around 5'5 and poss weighs around 7/8 stone, but shes 18 and is a very competent rider. I am thinking of asking her but don't really know her all that well and seeing as the pony is so tiny!
pony has been long reined and road walking fine, wears full tack etc.,
Any suggestions? thanks :)

Well, some people use scare-crows...
what about contacting your local PC? Should be some pretty good little riders around who might like a new challenge...

I break in littlies. I'm 5ft 2 and weigh about 8 1/2 stone. Last year I broke an 11hh sec a and a 11.2hh dartmoor. They both coped fine I even hunted the Dartmoor for a couple of hours afew times in the winter.

Whereabouts are you...my 12 year old daughter who weighs nothing, has just backed and riding my friends Sect A 11.2hh. We are in Leics.
