Anyway, i've REALLY pushed the boat out today..
One of the horses i ride at work, ran away with me 4 times up the 6f gallop (up steep hill all the way) which very few horses are able to do.. (i was still fighting to pull up at the top)

Anyway, i've only gone and put £10 each way on it (so spent £20).. it's running at 3:30

Well done! you got some pennies! was so annoyed as was going to follow your tip but will hill online was so slow and didn't get my bet on! grrr well can't complain had a 34-1 winner earlier in the day.

Let us know when he is running again - as you say, loads of talent. And he had the most dreadful last few furlongs with horses falling and being pushed around by the others. He could have won if he had been able to hae a straight run!

agree.. it was a packed race.. several times i thought he was going to be boxed in!!
When the leaders made their run for the line, he was miles back and made up soooo much ground!!
he's bred to stay, but has some serrious speed to him for a stayer!!

He was however only 10st 1.. i very much doubt he'll be that weight again

yeah - they did say he was carrying virtually no weight compared with the winner. But with a bit more experience he will easily be able to carry more - he certainly looks like he wants to win. Icouldn't believe the way he came out of nowhere!

most different and i'd say best racing yard i've ever worked in!! I love the way they treat the horses there

He is for a small yard..
It's nice cos the horses are treated as you or i would treat them, i.e. they're not just numbers in a yard of 200+ horses.. silly things like they all go out in the field every day, some of them get taken hunting, we get to play in the arena SJing and dressaging them!
