Mystery lameness - aren't they all
5 weeks ago had to have the Chiropracter out twice in 11 days as knob head had twisted her pelvis knobbing about in the field. 3 days later after getting the pelvis sorted (dropped and twisted) she picked a fight with a much bigger horse (luckily shoeless) which resulted in a fat hock. Eventually trotted up sound last saturday so on the sunday just took her for a mooch round the block, about 45 mins (trotted up first just to check) spot on.
Monday (week ago) got her in to ride, trotted her up just to be 782% sure she was sound and blow me she trots up lame in front.
No heat, swellings, cuts, loose bits, tight bits, normal pulse. Farrier came out as hoped it was an abcess but no. By weds no change for better or worse so called vet. He came out and did usual i.e flexion tests, nerve block, trotting up etc and no difference what so ever so I Heard the 10 words we dread "Can you bring her in next week for further tests"
Fingers x'd it's muscular higher up as it's all on the o/s. She still charges round the field like a complete knoblet so can't be in to much discomfort. So now as of today TB no longes stands for Thoroughbred - it stands for Tilly's bu**ered........
