Finn McCool III

This weeks H&H has Finn McCool the lightweight hunter as being a horse that died this year.

Does anyone know what happened to him, he was only 11?

Can't recall seeing anything on here or in the rag during the year

Not sure of exact details but I understand Finn got injured and had to be PTS and no, I didn't see anything about it in/on HH either.

It was a bit of a shock when I seen it yesterday, and I was surprised there hadn't been a decent article in H&H as he was so successful

I could not believe what I was reading yesterday in H&H as this was the first I had heard about this great horse being dead. I cannot understand why there was not a feature about him as with Guy Landau he brought so much pleasure to many people. It was a priviledge to see him win at HOYS

Glad it wasn't just me - thought I had lost a chunk of time and missed the big article - damn shame as such a lovely horse.

Does no-one know what happened to Finn McCool-perhaps it has been a mistake on the obituaries page! Lets hope so.

He was pts due to an injury as I understand it although I only heard locally, not in H&H.

He was pts following a field accident with no hope of recovery, he was enjoying hunting in his retirement with Guy Landau.
