Very lethargic, not eating dinner, just picking at hay.

Droppings in stable and drinking.

Temp 103.1
HR 56

Called vet - thinks may be a virus

Going now to give bute and check again in 3 hours to see if temp comes down.

Poor little man, he's had a busy few days.

Poor Po! 3 horses on our yard have had diff viruses in the last month, seems really strange that they have all come around at once!

Thanks guys.

He's deteriorated since earlier. Now very dozy like he's been sedated and inco-ordinated walking.

Vet will come if temp not down by 10pm. Still >103F

Hmm his heart rate is verging on "concern" although for now I wouldn't worry too much about this unless it shoots up or goes down dramatically. What is his normal HR?

His temperature is a little bit high but not scarily, worrying that it hasn't gone down though whatwith it being night time now.

Poor guy, I hope he feels better soon and that it isn't anything serious. Best wishes to him and you.
