As some may know things didn't go quite to plan for myself in the run up to the championship, being told i'd be on in the morning so booking flights to SPOGA in evening to then be put in afternoon meaning the liklihood of me being able to show Fin rather slim.

Luckily Cazza very kindly stepped in as back up - alot to ask of someone whose never met Fin or shown a 3 year old in Futurity before!

Fin washed and plaited loaded and travelled like a pro, we arrived in plenty of time but disappointingly they were still on eventing foals and no one seemed to have any urgency about getting through them and the clock ticked on. It was a bit of a haz maz in my opinion and no one really seemed to know quite what was happening, but i think maybe i was extra sensitive and if i hadn't had to leave it wouldn't have bothered me!!

I soon realised i wouldn't be able to show Fin as my Boss was picking me up at 4. Mum was getting bit stressed and we both got bit upset as worked quite hard preparing and with Fin being very special loosing his dam Tina etc got bit too much.

Cazza arrived and i went through what was happening etc and what to try and do, then Boss turned up and i had to go

(also ba***rd flight was delayed by 3 hours!!!)

I just saw Fin come off lorry before i left - and i must say he looked great.

Mum rang me when it was all over and said Fin and Caroline had done very well, he came reserve champion

i was so proud, he didn;t make supreme section but as a a filly by Pro-Set won overall i was really chuffed. Yogi also passed soem very nice comments to caroline i beleive so

Obviously i wish i could have shown him, i know him so well maybe i could have squeezed just that bit more out of him but who knows, caroline certainly did a grand job!

So not bad really for our first go at breeding, and first go at Futurity, and only Fin's 4th outing we are very proud

Yes I arrived just in time for the event section, he looked lovely, they did seem to have a large(r) number of foals and then the other age groups definately moved quicker i thought.
