My neighbour descided he was going to let off fireworks in his back garden less than 40 feet from my horses stables. Needless to say they got extremely upset. When I told him that they were getting upset, his reply was along the lines of only having a few left, which he then let off scaring them even more.

I have started an ePetiton on the downing street website proposing to make it an offense to let off fireworks knowingly within 200 metres of where horses are kept.

Please sign it, only your name appears on the list, the rest of your details are kept secret by our lords and masters

Thanks

Mike

just done it,i found 7 rockets in my field and our neighbour let them off 20 feet away from our stables,he an arogant arse and does it every year and doesnt give a stuff,it makes me so angry !!!!!!

Sorry to hear of your troubles but the aim of your petition is all wrong...it is the bigger picture that is the problem! We all need to be signing to stop fireworks happening full stop unless they are at an organised public event! I cannot imagine that downing street will take much notice of a request to protect horses and ponies in stables and fields!!!! Sorry but it will be a waste of effort.

Signed one that was on the downing st website last week - banning fireworks at all but public displays. I fear that until some terrorist sets off a bomb using firework explosive bought over the counter in his local sweet shop that no-one will take any notice.
