Just a quick rant to help me restore my karma!
There is a rental house in front of my field and is occupied by holiday makers at present.
Tonight I noticed that the dogs were being a bit clingy, but didn't think too much of it, then headed out to get some logs in to burn. Got a shock as I went out of the back door, as a banger went off directly overhead plus a few more as I went to the log store. I then realised they were coming from near the rental house, but not in its garden, so went off to investigate. Sure enough, the holidayers were in my field, letting off fireworks in the centre!
Fraid I saw red a little bit, so walked into the field (open gate - fortunately hoss in bed) and asked them to stop letting fireworks off.
I was asked what the problem was and told them that first of all, they shouldn't be in a private field and secondly, they were going to be leaving loads of firework rubbish where my horse grazed. I told them to go and let them off in the property's rather large garden, but was told that 'the kids can't see them because of the trees - what do you want us to do?'........ermmmm, bit of a no brainer this one......'don't let them off then?' That didn't go down too well.
Is is just me, or do people just seem to leave their brains and sense of reason when they go on holiday, and also seem to think that they should be able to do whatever they want, wherever they want!!
Was given a couple of retorts, including, 'ok, we will desist'.
Saw a little later that they were 'managing' to let the rest off without any problems in the garden after all.
Sigh. Calmer. Really hate that I get wound up about such things, but have enough to think about without having to worrk about Q eating firework rubbish!
