Ok I know its really odd time of year for fireworks but someone is having a fireworks display tonight close to the yard and we have been advised to bring our horses in.

I am reluctant to do this as she is living out at the moment so it will upset her routine to bring her in plus I am drinking tonight and really want a lie in tomorrow so dont really want to bring her in if I can help it. However if it will be better to bring in her in I will. Most of the other horses owners with horses who live out are on holiday at the moment so I doubt they will get brought in!

What does everyone think - in or out?

Hmm, fireworks are a way of life here in the summer so mine take no notice at all after the first bang.

If others are leaving theirs out and the fencing is secure, I would leave her out.

We have a large bonfire & firework display every year in our village; its two fields over from my stables. Although I bring my horse in, she stands with her head out watching the fireworks.
Equally in the lead-up to firework night if I haven't been home in time she has been fine in her field. In her little world if there is grass to eat then things can't be bad.

Thanks - I think will leave her out - I think the worst she will do is run around a bit but I think she is more likely to stare at them - eat - stare some more - eat. I have schooled her when the fireworks were going off in nov and she isnt that bothered - more wound up in the stable!

We always leave ours out - they love them!!

PS. best not leave her out by herself if she is not used to being by herslf, that might worry her wore than any fireworks.
