Firle Hunter Trials

What class are you doing? I did it a few years ago and it was quite nice but very open and not the best place for stuffy or sharp horses IMO

I did the intro there last season..its a lovely venue - beautiful parkland. There wasn't anything technical on the intro course if I remember, all quite nice and straightforward. I saw a few horses napping as you went past the boxes between fences 2 - 4 and turned away from home. Water for intro was just a walk in and step out - PN I think jumped a fence a stride or two before a step in?

Have done it lots of time and me and daughter are this year. Not a first timer but nice> if you havent entered your too late entries are full im afraid. They are open in September for clear rounds if you want to have a go with no pressure.

good luck

They do a BE event in August but the one at end of March is the Southdown and Eridge unaffiliated hunter trial. If you are doing the 2'6" course, its very straightforward, just up and downhill a bit. Its a brilliant fun event, see you there!!
