We were supposed to go last week but it was cancelled so we had to wait until last night. Pup loved it!! We were with a 10 month old spaniel and a 1 year old terrier so she was the youngest. We have got 2 more joining us next week. The 1 year old did her own thing in one ring whilst the pups were introduced to the apparatus. We went through 4 sets of wings, the poles were just off thr ground, through the tunnel, which she absolutely loved!! The spaniel was scared to start but soon got the hang of it. Then we practiced waiting on the touch points of the A frame, dog walk and see saw. We picked pups up so they were a foot of 2 from the bottom, then gently
and slowly encouraged them down to a treat at the bottom. Pup was absolutely shattered when we got home. I had forgotten how much fun it is!! We will be doing the same things for the next couple of months as she's only 8 months old so can't do much but it's all good training!!

At 8 months there should be no leaving the ground at all, just running through wings. Contacts on the ground too if at al, no angles. Please be careful that your trainer is not asking too much too soon ( if I am reading this right ?).

The poles are literally 1 cm if that. The contact is basically picking pup up, turning them round to face the ground and encouraging the back end to stay on whilst eating treats off the floor. I've been extremely careful with exercise etc and I'm being very careful with the ' agility' . I'm the same with my horse, if there is something i don't think is right I'm not afraid to speak up'. Thank you for your concern though, much appreciated 🙂 . I used to compete in agility around 7/8 years ago and the temptation is there just to get on with it but will have to wait quite a few months for that. In the mean time the socialising and the commands will still help pup.
