We had our first First Aid for Riders course today!
It was brilliant. Everyone had so many "accident" stories, and the instructors made up scenarios of what you should do, and how to cope etc. From horse kicks, to rearing horses falling back on you, to falling off jumping. (Was hilarious seeing one of the instructors tangled up in the jump! She deserved an Oscar!)
They had very realistic makeup (bones sticking out of arms, blood, skin flaps) and because we did it in the fields, sand school and stables, it made it even more realistic.
Everyone had brilliant time, and I got to make endless cups of coffee!
See you on the next one!
