How funny... I was just about to post this!
I was talking to my Mum about it earlier, and she said it's amazing to think when she was a child when play fighting they used to hold a fist up to each other and say "do you want a face transplant?" as a joke and now that something so sophisticated is actually possible.
That poor poor woman for her accident in the first place. Of course looks aren't everything but she really was beautiful! I wonder what became of the husband?
I looked into body part transplants for a project once, and people who have had limb transplants have struggled to adjust with a body part that isn't 'theirs', I really hope these people are able to overcome the mental scars that the surgery will carry and lead as normal as possible lives!
