First BE event

Was browsing the BE website the other day and saw you could reg horses for half a season. After messing about with unaff stuff for the past year thought i would finally take the plunge and register

ive never done anything affiliated before so dont really know much about venues etc

my mares already done a few intros with previous owner (oasby, solihull) all clear XC although i have recently found out shes not too keen on ditches

looking through the event diary, the first ones i could realistically get to is either bold heath or sapey. would one of these be suitable for a first intro?

I would say Sapey would be suitable as a first time event. never been to bold heath so can't help you there.

Bold Heath intro is brand new this year so can't say but the PN was fairly straight forward

sapey is a nice course - although i wouldn't say it was straightforward!
i did the intro this year & there are lots of different fences like a corner, quarry [with a decent drop]..half coffin, big industrial pipe thing which i noticed cause a few problems [this was before the water] but i did enjoy the course!
it is quite close to the SJ though!
