first clip in january?

would this be a bad idea? Will it ruin his summer coat?

Rio is getting quite sweaty along his neck, belly and stifle area and its taking ages to dry! I dont want him to catch a chill so do i clip him?

Personally I'd go for it but do it sooner rather than later. I usually do my last clip around next week, if I had clipped at all this year. Haven't cos she's not doing enough x

I used to clip my old boy all year round if he needed it (he was a hairy beast!), it never had any ill-effects on his coat. Clip away!

My gelding is having a hunter clip tomorrow, afaik it's fine but as Rachel said, the sooner the better.
