I recently (just before Christmas) brought and backed this little man, he is 16.2 ISH coloured, how well do you think he will do in showing? Want him to do a bit of everything & showing isn't my speciality but would definitely like to get into it.

What do judges look for in coloured classes & what are the rules?

Thank You! :)

He's gorgeous! U shd enter him in hunter classes too - he looks the part.

I have a coloured too but tend to show her as a hunter or sportshorse because I'd read somewhere (bspa website I think) that coloured classes are split markings/confirmation. My girl is stunning in my eyes of course but her markings are quirky so will have to try her in coloureds n see how we do.

Sure I read about even-mess and regularity of markings somewhere in their 'breed standard' type document.

Your boy is v eye catching!

Showings not my thing either but wanted to get my girl out n about while she was young-she was plaited (as she's non native-some coloured classes are split into native and non) and pulled, trimmed n chalked to within an inch of her life and handler wore tweed and dark trousers to show off her white legs.

I also showed her in a dark Havana bridle which set off her piebaldness beautifully.

Enjoy!

hi i know this isnt really related but how do you put the pictures on the post? it doesnt let me do it.. ur horse is very nice by the way. :P

Thank You very much for your help, would love to get him doing some working hunter, I didn't even think about it tbh! :)

I think hunter classes would also be a good idea, he is ISH but he is very cobby with it, not sure if he has something else in him.

Looking forward to this summer, just see what he is best at! :)

Bring on the sunshine & shows!!

Not sure the proper way of doing it but I only found out the other day too :P

I would register on a website called photo bucket and upload all of your photos. You can then copy a image url which you copy and paste on to your post :) PM if you need any more help.
