I say hopefully as the horse we were travelling with has thrown a shoe and I'm not sure the orange one will load into or stay in an unfamiliar lorry... comp is only a few minutes down the road though so fingers crossed we'll make it.

It's just a little local prelim dressage, nice relaxed place, not too serious- perfect for our first little outing since that fateful day (for those who don't know I came off SJ last Feb and needed a few screws to put me back together, all fine now

).

Dressage really isn't our thing- I ride stiff as a board and he just gets bored and lazy but we have been working quite hard these last few weeks so it will be nice to see if we can reduce the number of times the word 'hollow' appears on our sheet

lmao.

Most importantly there is a photographer there so I must get my arse in gear to go and start primping and preening.

I have been tellling people all week how I don't get nervous before dresage comps but this morning there is a little butterfly in my tummy

If you have any 'don't spook and create a scene at the perspex viewing gallery OR the flower pots' vibes free at around 11:30am please channel them in the direction of the NE.

Thanks for the luck and vibes- must have done the trick as we got there in one piece (he loaded fine and only chucked himself about for the first few minutes there and back before settling down) and he didn't spook at anything in the arena! There was a horse eating banner in the warm up though...

Was really pleased with him and had a great time! A few pics in the gallery
