Ruby and I set out to our first competition last Sunday and I was so pleased with her. Neither of us have ever done a dressage competition before and this was our first competition since I got her 2 months ago. She just took everything in her stride, wasn't silly at all and probably did one of the best tests we've ever done!
We entered (unaffiliated) Intro A and Intro B.
I wasn't expecting a lot from the scores because I know she won't accept a contact yet and is way above the bit, but her rhythm was tonnes better than a couple of weeks ago and she was just so settled.
Intro A - 57.17%
Intro B - 60% and she got an 8 for the free walk!
I've also received lovely, constructive comments from the judge which will really help us move forwards. I'm just so happy with the whole experience!
