Well, am loving my horse again!
Last days 'cubbing', on home turf, she was clipped out the night before, it was bl**dy freezing, and I hadn't had time to ride for 2 days, she was a complete witch!. I think if people stopped gasping when she is bucking it would be easier to deal with, they aren't vicious, just over excitement, and don't feel dangerous. They must look impressive though, as everyone is dead impressed that I stayed on!! lol!!
So, was sh*tting myself on the way to the meet on Weds - thank God no more early starts! - drank LOTS at the meet while she destroyed the trailer...got on and she was OK. We spent the first hour at the back with the naughty pointers, who all kept well out of my way, but once we had settled I had a great day. We did some humungerous ditches and she really thought about them - we didn't land in any!
Rubbish day out, no scent at all, but had a good gallop! Boy is she fast!!
So, pointless, but I'm sure you have all been there, more people my way need to remember that their made hunters weren't always as good as they are now!

Brilliant Clodagh....she really sounds like such a super horse....and not that anyone will every replace Clodagh but you two sound like you have a real partnership going.

so pleased for you....still haven't braved the bold Sid on the hunting field yet - working towards January!!

Can't wait to hear your first reports!

Have got a jumping lesson today, with Geoff Quinlan, looking forward to that!
