I dont think I have ever had so much FUN !
I went out with the Cheshire farmers drag hunt on their newcomers day. I was a little nervous as I was on my own but was made to feel very welcome. My horse, Charlie had apparantly been before but had no idea how she would be.
I very bravely decided to stick to a snaffle as she has was very good when I took her on the fun ride in it and it paid off as she was super fab! She stood still inbetween runs and didn't move until asked, was fine with horses galloping past her, never ran off with me and stopped when asked. I even had people commenting on how good she was so not bad for our first time!
It was, by all accounts quite eventful with ambulances and vets having to come out but I never saw any of that which was good as it may have put me off! The only thing I saw which did worry me slightly was when we first set off a horse galloped flat out past me the rider then had to bail out but she was wearing one of those inflatable body protectors. Did make me laugh as we hadn't gone out of the first field!
So I'm going to subscribe and try and go out regularly and hopefully by the end of the season I'll be hopping hedges with the best of them
hopefully a pic of us at the start (if it works!)
