On Monday I put my brave pants on and ventured to our first comp. I've had her 10 weeks now.
Things didn't quite go smoothly. We arrived in plenty of time only for it to lash it down the whole time we were there and I forgot my gloves luckily it was unaffiliated and I just got a telling off from the judge
Pretty pleased with her, she was very tense to start with and we struggled with keeping left canter, resulting in a fair few 4s. But we got an 8 for the medium walk, so very pleased about that. Just one pic from the day.

Well done for getting out there, what a shame about the weather (and your gloves!) Great mark for the medium walk. She's a nice type, how old is she and what's her breeding?

She's a 6 yr old ISH by Glosters Clovers Dream. She's been fab so far (she has big boots to fill). I've since bought a spare pair of gloves and put them in the glove box!

Well done for braving it! Having forgotten gloves too many times I always keep gloves, hairnet and hat together in the lorry :) I also have an outing check list to make sure I have everything else ;)

Well done - as far as first outings go, that was a good confidence builder - she behaved! Looking forward to your next update, she looks fab.

She is beautiful! Really nice :)

Sounds like a pretty good outing for only 10 weeks together to me!

Sounds like a brilliant 1st outing :)

I wouldn't worry about the gloves- I once forgot my jacket out SJing & had to borrow another competitors! 🙈

Thanks everyone, I'm really pleased with her. She's so very different to my old boy which I thinks helps as I can't compare them. It's allowing me to go in a different direction. She certainly won't make an advanced endurance horse, but hopefully we'll get jumping soon and have a play at everything
