We're off to our first dressage and SJ competition this weekend. Its only a small local show but space for working in and waiting to go in the arena is quite confined.

As my horse is only 5 and can be a bit spooky sometimes I was going to put a green ribbon in his tail.

Do others with youngsters do this for dressage as well or not anymore?
 
Yes, definitely do it. I know I give ribboned horses more room in the collecting ring as a matter of courtesy. It was really refreshing to see some of the top international riders doing the same at Olympia this year too. Good luck and enjoy the competition.xxx
 
Yes a green ribbon is a good idea, at our little local shows everyone is lovely and gives lots of room to the green horses x
