Went to Milton today to do my first ever Elementary, it was unaffliated and run by the Cambridge riding Club
Well I was terrified as Ive never done one before, not even on another horse, so it was going to be a test for me and William.
There were only 4 in the class, but the others were all horses, then there was me on my ickle 14.1 pony
He was a very good boy worked in well, and I felt ready to give it ago.
I thought he went well his trot work was nice and he tried his heart out in all the canter work.
He did get a bit cross when I asked for the canter to walk and the walk to canter on the short diagonal, he got a bit ahead of me, and I then inturn got infront of him
But all in all it wasnt as bad as I thought it might be
We got 55% and came 3rd out of 4, I was quiet expecting to come last, so that was quiet nice
the winner got 59% so I wasnt mile behind
On the down side I thought the judge was really negative, she didnt write any nice coments
Its the kind of test sheet I read and wonder why I bother
