Just a little first ever report, and first time out with my fab new mare!
I have had Maddie on loan just under 2 months now, and she has done wonders for my confidence and my riding after I had a nasty accident on a previous horse.
We kept it little and local for our first adventure, especially as it was the second time I had towed her, couldnt have made it any more nerve racking for myself really! My lovely friend and friend's (older) boyfriend came for the ride to supervise me towing (stupid B licence).
We got there and poor Maddie must have wondered what on earth was wrong with me, I was a total nervous wreck! We jumped our 2'6 clear round class and I rode terribly, but being the star she is she still only knocked one pole. She is used to jumping much larger more challenging courses but is looking after me well!
We then had our Small Open class and I was feeling much more confident after some wise words from my lovely yard owner and fellow liveries who had turned up to the show too.
She absolutely sailed round the course, an I rode much better. We went clear so I continued round the jump off course and we got double clear!
My friends told me about the giggles from spectators at my beaming grin and slighty over enthusiastic praising of my clever horse!

We came second in the class, and qualified for the CTR Championships which I wasnt expecting at all, I was just glad we both got there and back in one piece!
Maddie is such a star and a massive thanks to her owner for loaning her to me. I may not have ridden again if I hadnt found a horse like her.
