In fact...first fall since I broke my back.

Took baby coblet and my 'sharer' had saffy in hand on a hack today. I had literally just got on when a pheasant flew out of the hedge. Baby coblet spun and went. I was ok for a few seconds but got slightly too far behind so flew out the side door. Landed on my knees with the reins in my right hand but he got away eventually so pulled all my shoulder quite badly. I'm struggling to move it now :( rest of the hack was lovely and unflappable though :D considering he's been broken 3 months and had nearly two weeks off I'm very proud of him.

Got back and they both had their first bath of the year when we got back too.

My little and large cow ponies :D

I have to admit....it has rattled me. I'm scared of being that badly injured again so thought about not getting back on but did it and had a lovely time. I used to make my beer money falling off but I'd rather not now ;) at least the well watered corn field made a soft landing :p

I'm much more of a wuss after a serious fall a few years ago. I found it actually helped to have a couple where I was ok and realise that those bad falls are actually the unusual ones and mostly you're fine. Hope your shoulder feels better soon! ;)

Must be something in the air! Had my first fall off a stallion i've just had come in. He was rearing and trying to flip me over backwards. Managed to hang on until today!!
