My ponies been broken around 2 month now, and we've been hacking out alone and in company multiple times, never had any problems going alone so far. So, about 2 hours ago we went for a walk over the moors, only planned around 20/30 mins. It was nice weather and everywhere seemed pretty calm. We had been going probably about 20 mins by this point.

We were at the top of a hill and she spooked, which was fine, was a fairly big spook so she took off, managed to gather her together again, but she wasn't calming, and spun and took off again, resulting in me hitting the floor..

Scariest moment of my life when i got up and saw her pelting down the road that cuts over the moor, very fast road too!

My heart was literally in my mouth, crying my eyes out as it seemed no one could see her coming as they were not stopping! As she got closer though cars began to stop and no one was moving, me still running down this hill..

Luckily two different guys had got out of their cars and got hold of her, cannot thank them enough! Who ever they are! They helped calm me down at the side of the road and offered to walk me back to my yard! Two lovely guys! Don't know where my girl could have got to if it werent for them!

Oh no! Poor you. Must have been such a scare for you. Do hope you didnt hurt yourself. good that she allowed herself to be caught by people. Have a nice hot bath and a couple of glasses of wine this evening.

Is that your siggy? If it is it's huge.
Or
Is it her after your ride ... it's snowing

Sorry you fell off, that's the unpredictability of youngsters for you.
Hope she doesn't do it again!!

We're both fine luckily! Left her in her stable so she can have a sleep haha, oh its my signature! It is rather big, shall figure out how to make it smaller! :)

You poor thing! It happens to everyone
My 'old enough to know better' horse dumped me when spooking at a scary flower and then took off home. Its the most miserable thing, knowing you just cant catch them. I flagged down a car, got a lift to where she was calmly waiting by a gate, which was one of the ways home....Ive never been so pleased with a gate in my life!

I was in the middle of no-where today when 20 motor bikes came up behind me. Grace is an old hunt horse and loves to chase bikesand quads...anyway she was fine for the first 5 as they wenbt by but they kept coming...so she went off at a 'compressed canter', begging me to let her go after them. the next bike in the queue tried to over take me..only 4 feet between me and him, as he edged closer. honestly what an idiot. I saw some people watching from afar and thought they would have backed me up had she bucked out at them. Anyway I shouted at them and they stopped the bikes, allowing me to ride back up the line away from home. So dangerous, they need to learn some consideration for other road users

Oh how scary, I hope that you're okay as well? it is so scary when things like that happen!

my mare dumped me on the floor and bolted home 4 days after I'd bought her! she crossed a busy A road, and galloped back down the roads in a very busy village! I've never been so scared in my life but at least she knew were she was going! poor you, your mare probably wouldn't have known where she was if she was only just backed!

thank goodness those 2 men caught her!
