Sprocket and I went along to our first flyball competition today and he was absolutely brilliant :D
Our team didn't do very well on the whole as one dog threw in the towel after our first race but I am just so pleased with how well Sprocket ran. He is a bit of a wimp and I was worried that he would be overwhelmed but he took the whole thing in his stride and we got some nice compliments from other teams.
It was totally worth getting up at 5AM and standing in the cold for most of the day! I am so proud of my little dog - we only started training 8 weeks ago and he is a little star :D:D

Well done. I've been wondering how you got on. Shame it was sooooooo cold, but at least the snow kept away til the end. When's your next one?
Monty, Jess and Skye send their congratulations to Sprocket and say welcome to flyball.

No pictures sadly, we didn't have any spare helpers to act as photographer.
I'm not sure when our next competition is - I don't think there are any more starters planned in the near future (but hopefully we will be able to move up from starters soon).
He is a natural (first time I have ever been able to boast about his achievements lol :p) and he absolutely loves it which is the most important thing.

Puppy, you would have been very proud of how many people came up to me to ask about his breeding and to tell me how handsome he is ;)

Oh dear. How many times did you have to say 'No, not a jot of labrador'? Grrr!

I am always proud of Mr Sprocket :D I hope I can see him in action before too long :)

Ooooh, well done, you will be well and truly hooked.......early morning starts or you will end up buying a caravan like we did!
Which team are you with?
Our next comp is at Gap Farm on 18th Feb....weather permitting
