Hi everyone

I am a new owner again after a long break, slowly getting my confidence and knowledge back up to speed!

I got my youngster early this year after a few years of angst and pining, I went for it though, bought direct from a breeder who intended to keep her for herself, but she felt she couldn't give her the time.

My mare is rising three and is a warmblood x, chocolate dun.
Lightly handled , so all her input is down to me! I am fully prepared to get her started by a professional and then will take her to a friends yard that does regular hacks in the beautiful crown estate, my plan is to desentize her quickly to the world in general within the safety of steady mature horses .

That's my short term plan! I haven't thought beyond that!

I'd love to add a photo but I can't seem to.. x

Any advice or tips , I am open to it! She's a gorgeous girl and I don't want to hash it up xx

Hello, I am new back to horse ownership after raising a family. Good luck with your new horse. I have my 14 year old daughter who is very knowleldgeable, has grown up with horses and worked on a yard. I am relying on her to lead me with everything. Fingers crossed all goes well. I will also be on here asking questions. Clare x

Pics pics pics! Upload onto photobucket and paste the url in here :) She sounds stunning!

Would definitely recommend getting her broken and started with a kind but firm professional. Even better if you can be involved slightly - even just once or twice a week. This prevents the situation where the horse is going really well with the trainer, then comes home, you handle her differently and suddenly she has 'forgotten' everything she learnt! Strength to enjoy x

Hi, we are lucky our Nina is already broken and has been doing cross country and jumping. She is only 5 but is very sensible although a bit strong and eager to go, she has brakes and doesn't do anything crazy. I will put pictures on as soon as we get her, hopefully soon. xx
