Took my new pony out with the TVH on Monday - wasn't sure what to expect as only experience cantering in company concluded with him charging past everyone to get in front... But I put his flash on and a martingale (mostly for me to hang onto LOL) and he was an angel.
He got pretty excited to begin with and was pulling quite a lot and cantering up and down but after a gallop or two he settled and as long as he was up with the front few he was fine. We even braved jumping a ditch or two and a log pile thing which he loved! He hated standing still though and got very shivery and tense. I'm hoping that he will get the idea that standing around is part of it as he seemed to relax the further on the day went.
Was only my second time out, first time with this pony but we had an amazing day, some really good gallops and lots of friendly people... came back head to toe in mud - so much for plaiting and bathing and grooming LOL - I think I'm hooked, can't wait to go out again.
Just a couple of pics:
ETA... couple of pics in PG - I'm guessing you can't post pics in here?
thanks for looking
