Just got back from my first ever (and Bodey’s first ever) hunt! Oh well, what can I say but wooooo hooo! Bodey was just brilliant, and I just can’t put into words how special this cob is to me! We had a few tiny weenie bucks in a couple of the canters, and a little bit of heading shaking when we first started standing around.

But he wasn’t bothered by the hounds, the horn, the quadbike, the people on foot. We even stood and watched as the hounds came out of the horse box, couldn’t have cared less.

We both flagged a bit in the last half an hour or so but we did stay out all day. I think we are both going to sleep well tonight. My knees are already aching.

So a fab day, can’t wait to get out again now.

And thank you to everyone that looked after me, especially as I was really quite nervous when I turned up!

Sorry no photos as I went on my own and was just too much to think about!

A very happy Jo!

Oh thanks, I really wasn’t sure how Bodey would be, but I really couldn’t have asked for him to be any better. Oh dear you were all so nice it could have been any of you! PM me who you are please??!!

Irishcobs- Thanks, I agree, they are sure footed and have a sensible head on their shoulders!

Weezy- Cheers, we really did. Sorry that it hasn’t worked out Hunting Ted! Is he just too much of a handful? You know what I think, you should buy yourself a cob, he, he!

If I had the money I would!!! He is just far too terrified of it all, tries to bolt AWAY from the other horses, bronking as he goes. It just isn't fair on him really. Will take him to another fun ride soon and hope I haven't spoilt him for that as he does enjoy them, but no more hunting!

Oh that’s such a shame, but you have to think of your own safety!! I’m sure he will be fine on Fun Rides, it’s just not the same atmosphere.
Well if you are ever down this way you can borrow Bodey Cob for a hunt if you like?
