First Hunter Pace - HELP!

Hi, I have my first ever Hunter Pace next weekend and need some help

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the following -
Dress Code for horse & rider
Do's and Don'ts
Rules
Anything else!

I assume its Riding Club? Because Pony Club can be a bit funny about hunter pace or trials wear (ie. it has to be very simple like neutral coloured saddlecloth, navy/black etc. top etc. basically they dont like colour!). But RC are normal about it!

For Hunter Paces, I personally dont deck myself out in all my colours as I keep those for actual competitions. I just wear what Id wear for training, so beige jods, long leather boots, darkish coloured sweatshirt, dark coloured hat silk on jockey skull. Obviously medical card and body protector also. Horse wears full set of XC boots including over-reach, usual tack but also an elastic breast plate. You can tape the boots, but TBH I dont do that for hunter paces. Also put in studs.

Do wear a jockey skull, a lot of events dont allow fixed peaks.
Do wear a Body protector and medical card! I put my card round the top of my boot which I find more comfortable than round the arm.

For Hunter Paces in my area, people tend to simply use them as a training round. I use them as prep for BE. You do get timed and I believe you get placed as to how close you are to the optimum time (which is unknown and you're not allowed to time yourself anyway). You cant get eliminated, but I think you're allowed 3 stops and then you really should move onto the next fence or you'll hold people up. You can choose to jump whichever flagged fence you want.

Its like a round of XC which is timed you can pick your jumps and even miss some out. The winner is the person closest to the optimum time which will have been set earlier in the day and no one knows what that time is.
