As I said on your other thread the four shires are great for newbies, really welcoming and helpful and they have a none jumping field master for all meets so all jumping is optional.

If you want a gentle start the four shires do hunt rides over summer without hounds in casual dress then they move onto hound exercise and then autumn hunting which builds up gradually to opening meet and that would be the ideal way to start.

If you want to go now try the Derbyshire Countryside Club. They do hunt rides all year and have three fields of different speeds and all jumping is optional. They are very supportive and encouraging.

Both the four shires and the Derbyshire Countryside Club have facebook pages with their meet dates.
