My one go at the PC senior area team (was put on, not my choice!) when I'd only done 3 PN's I fell off on the third refusal at a log jump drop thingy, but have since jumped similar fences no problem. SJ is good, XC he is very speedy and dressage I think he just needs more to think about.
So any tips?

Dont know what "junior C" is - is that PN level?

Basically I would look at how you'd done at PN level and work out if you think you're ready. I personally did 4 PN's being placed in the top 10 everytime before I did my first Novice. Id say do a bit of training over novice level fences, if you have no probs then give it a go!

It is scary going up a level, but once you've done one you'll think it was easy!

Yup. PN level. The last 2 events he went DC and he has had no jumping faults xc in EI, nor looked like having any. Had some time faults when we started but rid of those now. Occasional pole down SJ but no probs.
Just nervous about the move up, all those combinations etc.!
Think though now that PN is no longer scarey, in fact a bit boring, its the right time to move up.
