First ODE query

Going to my first ODE unaffilated event on Sunday. Was wondering about watches have seen some Olympic riders wear watches (Or something)round the cross country. Are you alloowed to wear timers to see what time you are doing it in.

I think in general people only need them when theyve minute markers to achive at high levels - up to Intermediate you certainly shouldnt need one! - a good hunting pace will suffice - In fact I dont think you are even allowed to wear one.....?

You are only permitted to wear one at advanced level(i think) and it is agasint the rules at lower levels. Deffinatly not needed at unaff ODE though.

You can wear them from Novice BE upwards, but not many unaff places will let you wear one.

in eventing ireland you are allowed one at all levels, and in irish pony club events you can wear watches.

at pony club uk events you are not allowed to wear watches, and at most odes you are not allowed either.
