No probs....Metal is one of my fav Ferro sons, dont think you will go wrong on that...

well we have a horse with ferro as a dam sire and though hes a little sharp hes really talented and trainable, so i had hoped there was no bad vibes on Metall

Yeah they can be a wee bit sharp, you just have to select the right sire to compliment that...

We have a Sir Sinclair x Ferro mare who is very sharp when not in foal and quite settled when she is in foal. It was her foal that was top horse at the gradings in Scotland last year.

Sometimes that wee bit of sharpness makes the sparkle, and there is nothing wrong with that..

Vainqueur, the Pr-Set colt (now a graded stallion) I found for South Africa that went in-hand champion at their Horse of The Year Show is out of a Metall / Recruut mare and is a lovely looking individual, very correct confromation and paces and kind but sensitive.

He is certaily not huge (about 15.3) but he makes up for that in presence and ability.

Go to http://www.berkeleystud.co.za/mainframe_hm.php if you want to see an example of what a Metall mare can produce to a JetSet son.

Not advertising this (just info in answer to question) as he is cetainly not available here and never likely to be <ROFL>

I have 2 mares by Metal and both are quite sharp but hugely talented in both jumping and dressage. One was very easily trainable and the other is taking longer as she is very nervous of everything and nosey! Saying that in the stable and on the ground you couldn't fault them. Both are 16.2ish.
I also have a Negro mare that has amazing paces but in the end I had to stop riding her as she was a complete fruit loop and wouldn't just throw a tantrum she would just completely go off the planet to the extent of being dangerous. She is what the vets sometimes called an 'entire' mare. Same sort of thing as a stallion. Again on the ground etc you couldn't fault her so put her in foal. Well she is now happily enjoying being a broodmare and has completely changed so looking forward to a baby Faustinus in April! She is slightly smaller at around 16hh but when you rode her it was pure powerhouse and felt like you were on a huge horse. Not for the faint hearted!
Good luck
