Hoping to get out and about much more this year now I have access to some transport, so thought I would start doing a few posts to (hopefully) track our progress through the year.

Today I took Ben to our very first arena hire, not very exciting to most people but a huge deal for me.

Couldn't have picked a nicer day to go out and have a play, the sun was shining and it was feeling very Spring-like. Unfortunately I was feeling like death warmed up (so please excuse my vanity and blurred face as I looked even worse...) but I'd planned this for weeks and nothing was going to stop me! Ben was awesome, especially as we haven't been out in ages. Little pootle round attempting some fancy pants dressageing, then a quick tack change and onto a wee course of jumps. He was a total star as always, and really looked after me when I wasn't feeling so hot. Lovely start to our first (of hopefully many) outing of the year. Bring it on!

Seems a little strange to blur out your face! TBH however bad you were looking I doubt it would be noticeable!

Lovely pics - well done you! I'm getting my own transport sorted over this weekend (after too many years of not being able to make proper plans!) so I'm hoping to start getting out and about soon too - same thing, arena hire to start with I think then maybe a couple of little dressage tests... before braving lift off over any fences :) excited is an understatement!
